The Littmann Eko Core is a revolutionary healthcare product that I use in my everyday practice. However, after it's been stuffed in my flight suit, I find that when I take the Core out, it has usually been turned on from bouncing around in my pocket and the battery is drained. After talking with other healthcare providers who use the Core, they have the same problem even when their stethoscopes are around their necks or in a lab coat pocket. To fix that, I created the Eko Core Protection Device. It is perfectly sized to slide onto the Core while maintaining some friction to keep it in place. After extensive testing in my flight suit, I have found the problem to be completely solved. Get the power blocker today and never worry about unexpectedly running out of battery on your Core again.

The power blocker is made of ABS which has a glass transition temperature of 105C/221F meaning it will stand up to high temperatures before it starts to deform or outright melt, and it is dishwasher-safe for cleaning. If your dishwasher has a sanitation mode, double-check the temperature of the cycle before using it to clean your power blocker. ABS is also very resistant to many chemicals so it is easy to disinfect with household cleaning products including the standard medical mixture of 1:10 bleach/water solution.

When purchasing, you have the option of no name, name/text embossed, and name/text embossed with a second or third color added to the text. There is also an option for your power blocker to be vapor-smoothed, a process that smooths the surface of the device creating a different texture and a very shiny, almost wet, appearance.

The first design (v1) option wraps completely around the Core. This model is a little more snug and may be better suited to those who keep their Core in pockets or work in areas that tend to be a little more rough on their equipment in general.

The second design (v2) is open on one side and while it is also snug on the Core, it has a little more flex to it because it's open and therefor it slides a little more easily. It also leaves the volume and record buttons always exposed on the open side. This model may be more suited to those who keep their stethoscopes around their necks or in a stethoscope holster.

*NOTE: Due to our printing process, v1 is best printed in the ABS color options shown in the photos and provided in the ordering options. If you would like a more specialized color like rose gold, sparkly red, etcetera, you can request different colors in the notes section, I can make your order using PLA filament. PLA has a glass transition temperature of 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit) which is much lower than ABS. PLA is less chemically resistant than ABS but can still be easily disinfected with 1:10 bleach/water or soap and water. You will receive both a v1 and v2 power blocker but only the v2 is guaranteed to fit your Eko Core. The v1 may or may not fit well due to the different printing characteristics of PLA. PLA also cannot be vapor-smoothed.

Every item is printed to order; every 3D-printed item is unique and will have slight variances from print to print, meaning it will not look EXACTLY like the items in the photos but it will be what you ordered. FDM 3D printing can result in layer lines and other slight imperfections during the printing process. I ensure every product I send out is inspected for any structural faults or imperfections that make the product unusable, along with any unpleasing visual blemishes.
